Kirk Hammett:

Kirk was born November 18, 1962, he is 47 years old. He comes from San Francisco. Right know he is married to his wife Lani and has two children called Angel Ray Keala Hammett and Vincenzo Kainalu. In the band Metallica, Kirk plays the guitar and does background vocals. Kirk has brown eyes and brown hair, he is five feet 8 inches tall. He was interested in music since he was a young boy and at the age of 15 grabbed a guitar and started experimenting. It was in April 1983 when he got the call from Metallica to come to audition. At that time the band was in the process of firing their guitarist Dave Mustaine. He put the money together for the flight of California to New York, that was the first time he ever left California. After the 'Black' album tour ended in 1993, he went to City College of San Francisco, this is something he credits or thanks as the reason behind his reinvention as a guitarist on the 'Load' and 'Re-load' albums. During the 'Load' era, Kirk started sharing 6-string duties with James. He now lives happy with his wife, kids, and two dogs Darla and Hoku. He also has some cats. By the way, Kirk plays his guitar at least 361 days a year. Final thing to say, I LOVE KIRK HAMMETT!

The loudest concert ever took place in the Coliseo in San Juan Puerto Rico March 14, 2010. It all started with Metallicas intro playing the song 'That Was Just Your Life.' The crowd went wild, it was a mix of Metallica and super awesome light effects. The second song the brilliant band played was 'The End Of The Line.' Then came 'For Whom The Bell Toll's.' Next came: 'Fuel', 'Fade To Black', 'Broken, Beat and Scarred', and Cyanide.' Later they played 'Sad But True', but before they started playing the song, James said someone claimed that the song was a little to hard for San Juan to take. Of course this was not meant in a bad way, he was just joking and getting the crowd 'pumped up' by making them cheer as loud as they could to see if the public of San Juan could handle it. Then came 'Welcome Home (Sanitarium)' and 'Creeping Death.' Later on the band played two of their most successful hits: 'One' and 'Master of Puppets.' At that time the Coliseo of Puerto Rico in San Juan was getting super 'HOT!' How could it not get so hot with the flashes of fire in the stage. Next was 'Blackened' and 'Nothing Else Matters.' Then came the song that everybody loves 'Enter Sandman.' Everybody was shouting of excitement. Later there was an encore and the band played 'Die, Die My Darling (Misfits cover)', 'Motorbreath', and the last song of the night 'Seek and Destroy' where Robert Trujillo presented his famous windmill while holding his base. At the end ,before leaving the stage, black colored balloons with the bands logo fell from the ceiling and the band members were kicking them towards the audience. Lars decided to through his drum sticks to the crowd. Finally some people standing on arena threw some Puerto Rican Flags to the stage, including one with the Death Magnetic album symbol on it, and the band members:James, Lars, Kirk, and Robert decided to grab the flags and delicately place them on top of the drum set, which by the way was almost completely covered, as a symbol of respect towards the Puerto Rican community. Last thing I have to say is I LOVE METALLICA!
